Open, verifiable NextG wireless dual-use missions
NextG Systems builds dual-use NextG wireless technologies for US Department of Defense funded programs. Everything we build is open: open source software, open hardware, and open interfaces, so the networks our partners depend on can be inspected, extended, and trusted.
We bring AI into every layer of the 5G/6G core and radio access network, from scheduling, beam management and spectrum awareness to self-optimizing, self-defending networks. Our open CU/DU software and lean core are built for tactical and commercial deployment, with innovations up and down the stack.
Open source software, open hardware, and open interfaces from the radio unit to the core. Open RU platforms performant enough for real deployments and affordable enough for research. No black boxes and no vendor lock-in, just systems the government and industry can audit, extend, and sustain.
Memory-safe languages are our baseline, not our finish line. We apply formal methods to the critical functions of the Core and RAN, from protocol state machines to security procedures, delivering provably correct implementations that can be independently verified.
Technologies built for tactical, low-SWaP deployments, including integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), also strengthen commercial networks, research testbeds, and the wider Open RAN ecosystem. One open stack serves both missions.
